Hondoq Bay is set to be the idyllic backdrop for the second edition of Hondoq by Night, which is being held this coming Friday, the 5th of July.

The event, held for the first time last year proved to be an instant success and the Qala Local Council, organisers of the event plan to make it an annual fixture in the Gozitan calendar of events.

This year’s musical entertainment will be provided by Malta’s elite artist Ira Losco, the Gozo Drum Tribe, as well as Djs Carlo Borg Bonaci and the Wobis Duo.

This year the event will be hosted two areas; the bay which will host the entertainment and the chill-out area, ideal for those who wish to enjoy the evening in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Throughout the evening, this peaceful Gozitan bay will be illuminated with traditional flaming lanterns and special light effects, creating a magical atmosphere for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

Traffic arrangements are being made and a park and ride service will operate all night to and from the bay.

A small donation is being requested on entrance which will also cover the use of the park and ride facility.

The Mayor of Qala Clint Camilleri said that he encourages the Maltese residents to visit Hondoq and experience this magical night.

All Maltese wishing to attend Hondoq by Night – a fast ferry service will operate all night from Cirkewwa to Hondoq and back. Pre-booking is required. Contact 99248968 or 79593567 for more info and bookings.
