Susan Bugeja, aged 45, from Ghajnsielem, was yesterday remanded in custody after being arraigned at the Gozo court, accused of cocaine trafficking and drug possession.

Bugeja was denied bail after she pleaded not guilty to all charges and will remain in custody at the Corradino Correctional Facility.

Susan Bugeja was among seven people that Police arrested over the weekend, following a Police operation that that had involved the monitoring of suspected drug trafficking in Ghajnsielem.

The Police had arrested six males aged between 19 and 49 years, as well as Susan Bugeja, they were found in the possession of cocaine.

The 6 remaing persons will be arraigned in Court in the following days.

Police investigations (CID – Gozo) are ongoing.
