The BodyForge, has announced what they say is their “most generous initiative yet in the battle against obesity that rages on across our islands.”

As part of The BodyForge’s latest campaign for 2013-2014, they have just launched ‘Yesterday You Said Tomorrow.’

Donatello Pisani, CEO of The BodyForge, said that he is “committed to spreading the word of fitness and health and has dedicated his life to transforming not only the physiques but the mindset of fellow Gozitans and the world alike.”

He added that “at the core of this campaign is the philosophy that effective health and fitness should be accessible to everyone.”

To do this, Donatello said that, “the BodyForge has pledged to fund every single person in Gozo to train at their groundbreaking facility entirely for free for one whole week. This offer also includes a free class of their choice for everyone who decides to participate.”

Donatello explains their latest campaign, saying, “while everyone knows that they need to exercise to stay healthy, our island has one of the highest obesity statistics on the planet. And it affects the health of both adults and kids in terrible ways.”

“Which, for a Mediterranean island full of healthy, home grown options, is totally unacceptable of course,” Donatello added.

“There are misconceptions on going to the gym,” Donatello continues. “And unfortunately, too many gym owners are contributing to them, which just adds to the damage.”

He explained, “Misconceptions are rife – on the kind of people that are thought to attend gyms, the environment inside the facility, how people are treated, what people are taught and most importantly, which exercises are actually going to help you tackle your personal problem areas.”

Donatello also adds that, “too many Gozitans are stabbing in the dark, trying to stumble across the answer to their fitness dilemmas themselves. I want to open our doors to the entire community, to break the stigma of gyms and show the people of Gozo that no matter what shape or size you are, you are welcome here, and I am committed to helping you achieve your goals, no matter what it takes.”

“As a qualified pharmacist, as well as a Master Trainer of over 20 years experience,” Donatello said he knows “too well of the domino effect a poor diet can have, and the repercussions in later life if the growing problems continue to be ignored.
