MHRA welcomes the return of British Airways to MaltaThe Malta Hotels and Restaurant Association has expressed satisfaction at the announcement today of the return of British Airways to Malta.

MHRA said that UK is a critical source market with great potential for the Maltese Islands and therefore the return of British Airways will also help the industry as whole to grow connectivity.

Mr Tony Zahra MHRA President said, “The return of British Airways has two positives as it brings yet another airline servicing Malta while it offers better connectivity that should further support the growth of both the leisure and the conference sectors from UK and beyond. “

“MHRA has continuously maintained that the success of the tourism industry depends substantially on increased seat capacity.” Mr Zahra also augured that more routes and airlines will be added.

The MHRA concluded by congratulating all involved, “in particular MTA and MIA, for making this possible and encourages all involved in the tourism industry to take full advantage in order to ensure that the tourism industry keeps growing.”
