Vini e Capricci new concept store opens at the Gozitano Complex

A new establishment Vini e Capricci – Wines & Whims, was opened recently at the Gozitano Complex in Xewkija. This is a new retail concept for the Maltese islands, with a selection of the finest food, wines and beverages.

Vin e Capricci was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Dr Joseph Muscat, who in his speech, praised the MD of Abraham’s, Abraham Said, for turning his dream into reality, as well as creating jobs in Gozo.

The Managing Director of Vini e Capricci, Abraham Said, commented that this investment, was the fulfilment of a dream, saying that customers who visit this new establishment will have the chance to taste before they buy and events will be held such as tastings, art exhibitions and talks about the latest technological developments within the industry, to name but a few.

Mr Said said that he is confident that this investment will not only create jobs in Gozo, it will also serve as an added attraction to improve the tourism product of the island of Gozo.

Xaghra Archpriest Mgr Carmelo Refalo blessed Vini e Capricci following the inauguration.

One of the attractions in the store is the selection of Italian olive oils by Cuffrol and Poiana. With a special feature in the section to bring your own bottle and have it filled with Gozo olive oil fresh from a stainless steel vat.

Gozo stone has been extensively used, especially in the wine cellar, sourced from the same quarry in Qala where the finishing blocks of the Valletta Parliament buildings have been sourced.

Also present during the official opening was the Opposition spokesperson for Gozo, Giovanna Debono and the PN General Secretary Dr Chris Said.
