Day two of the events organised by Louis Debattista as a contribution towards the European Week for Waste Reduction, was a creative activity using recycled material, which took place at Gnien tal-Familja (Family Park) at Qala.

Following on from the Gozo-Rocks Clean & Green Hike, this event involved making recycled crafts out of the materials that are regularly found on their clean-up hikes.

‘Gozo Calling,’ who are an American family living in Gozo and regularly join in these activities with Louis commented, “so much fun getting creative with the reduce, reuse, recycle concept! Plus an extra added bonus, Chef Jesmond Borg was on hand to talk about his new booklet – Handling, Storing and Cooking with left-over food – which is an excellent resource full of great information and recipes!”
