The Ministry for Gozo said in a statement today that it “is pleased to note that according to information issued on Gozo and Comino, by the National Statistics Office, for the period between January and August 2013, it transpires that the number of tourists who visited Gozo and Comino was 52 718 – which means an increase of 1.5% compared with the corresponding period in 2012.”

“It is encouraging to note the number of nights in the same period was 19.6465, which means an increase of 7%. This is a positive and encouraging sign that bodes well for the prospects of further improvement in revenue from tourism in the coming years,” the Ministry concluded
