Nadur’s Mnarja Philharmonic Band will be holding its November Annual Symphonic Concert entitled ‘Big Band Adventures,’ at the MBC Theatre, Mnarja Band Club, Nadur on Saturday, the 9th of November, starting at 8.00pm.

The event is being organised by the Mnarja Philharmonic Society with the collaboration of the Nadur Local Council to mark the feast of San Koronato being held at the Nadur village in Gozo

The presentation of the ‘Gieh in Nadur’ Award, will also take place during the evening.

The Society said that this year’s concert includes, yet again, music arrangements never performed on Gozitan soils by local bands namely: Medleys: Symphony of The Seas, Great Movie Marches, Hit Giganten, Highlights from musicals Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, epic-film’s soundtrack from The Ten Commandments, John William’s Midway March and the immortal Music by John Miles. Finally but not least the concert will also include Sinfonia from opera Nabucco by Verdi to blend classical with modern/pop music.

The Mnarja Band will be under the direction of its Music Director Mro Joseph Grech.The general public is invited to attend and entrance is free of charge. The audience is kindly requested to be seated by 7.45pm
