The Gozo NGOs Association has voiced its support for one of its members, the Gozo choir, Schola Cantorum Jubilate, for their participation in the Malta International Choir Festival, taking place this weekend. The Association said that this Choir is the only one from Gozo taking part in the festival.

During the last few years, the Schola Cantorum Jubilate has had the opportunity to participate in a number of concerts both in Malta and abroad, including, Italy, France and Austria.

Recently the choir performed in Notte Bianca, held in Valletta and is this year’s winner of the “Palma tad-Deheb” an award given each year by the village of San Lawrenz to successful emerging young musicians hailing from Gozo.

The Gozo NGOs Association said that “this choir has established itself in Gozo in Church services and in their annual event Carols by Candlelight.”
