The Minister for Education Evarist Bartolo, said this morning that following positive developments, Skola Sajf, the state-run summer school service for children, is expected to begin next Monday.
The summer school, which this year is incorporating Klabb was due to start yesterday, but a shortage of teachers forced a delay. Some 10,800 students had applied for the service.
Minister Bartolo said he would open an inquiry into the delay, saying that the Foundation for Educational Services had failed to advise him on any problems until the last minute.
