As the festive season is shortly upon us, local bus company Arriva Malta has announced that during the Christmas and New Year period, buses will be working on revised timetable. The revised bus services, which have been formally been agreed between Transport Malta and Arriva will operate as follows:
Sunday 22nd December: Sunday timetable with no night service
Monday 23rd December: Saturday timetable with no night service
Tuesday 24th December: Saturday timetable with a night service
Wednesday 25th December: Sunday timetable with stoppage and with no night service
Thursday 26th December: Sunday timetable with no night service
Friday 27th December: Saturday timetable with a night service
Saturday 28th December: Saturday timetable with a night service
Sunday 29th December: Sunday timetable with no night service
Monday 30th December: Saturday timetable with no night service
Tuesday 31st December: Saturday timetable with a night service
Wednesday 1st January: Sunday timetable with stoppage and with no night service
Thursday 2nd January: Normal service resumed with no night service
As is customary during this time of the year, all buses will stop on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day to allow drivers to enjoy some time with their families and loved ones. On both days, all bus services will be begin to stop between 1100 and 1200, and then restart between 1500 and 1600hrs, whilst terminating across the network at 2100hrs.
Bus services will be reverting to their normal timetabled services as of Thursday 2nd January 2014. Meanwhile, separate special services will be announced in due time for New Year’s Eve.
