The Gozo University Group (GUG) said today that it gave an extra push for this year’s ‘L-Istrina’ and managed to increase the amount which it donated last year, raising a grand total of €400 on behalf of Gozitan students and youths attending the University of Malta, MCAST, ITS and Sir M.A. Refalo.

Istrina was presented with the cheque by the GUG president and other officials, who thanked all those who made the donation possible.

The donation was welcomed by a round of applause from the audience at the Astra Theatre in Gozo, where the l-Istrina live stage was set up for the charity event.
