The Nadur Pigeon Club recently held its Annual Pigeon Show at Xewkija Primary School. 225 racing pigeons were exhibited in six different sections.

Each section was judged by renowned Maltese judges.

Winners of each section are as follows:

Foreign Cocks: 1st Baldacchino Bros. (Zejtun), 2nd Philip Carbonaro (Hamrun), 3rd Sammy Cauchi (Ghajnsielem).

Foreign Hens: 1st Francis Portelli (Nadur), 2nd Marco Cilia (San Lawrenz), 3rd Leo Agius (Qormi).

Yearling Cocks: 1st John Mercieca (Xewkija), 2nd John Mercieca (Xewkija), 3rd Baldacchino Bros. (Zejtun), 4th Joe Axiaq (Xewkija), 5th Mark Cilia (San Lawrenz).

Yearling Hens: 1st John Portelli (Xewkija), 2nd John Portelli (Xewkija), 3rd John Vella & Sons (Qala), 4th Baldacchino Bros. (Zejtun), 5th Francis Cassar (San Lawrenz).

Old Cocks: 1st Leo Agius (Qormi), 2nd Baldacchino Bros (Zejtun), 3rd John Bajada (Sannat), 4th Mark Cilia (San Lawrenz), 5th Coronato Mercieca (Xewkija).

Old Hens: 1st Leo Agius (Qormi), 2nd Leo Agius (Qormi), 3rd Coronato Mercieca (Xewkija), 4th Leo Agius (Qormi) 5th Leo Agius (Qormi).

Best Cock in Show: John Mercieca (Xewkija)

Best Hen in Show: Leo Agius (Qormi)

From the latter two sections John Mercieca (Xewkija) was voted as having the best pigeon in show.

During the course of the event, several local and imported pigeons were auctioned off and sold.

Club Souvenirs of Nadur Pigeon Club were also put on sale.
