Gozo information session on development planning cancelledMEPA has advised that tomorrow’s (Saturday 25th January) information session about the new Development Planning (Use Classes) Order 2014, which was due to be held in Gozo, has been postponed because of the forecast for bad weather.

It should have taken place at the Ministry for Gozo at 10.00am, and was open to the public and Periti. No alternative date has been supplied.

The Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Simplification of Administrative Processes in consultation with Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA) will be publishing a new Development Planning (Use Classes) Order which will replace that issued in 1994.

MEPA said that with the socio-economic and environmental context having changed considerably over the past 20 years, an urgency arose for this development planning legislation to be revised to make it more pertinent to today’s realities with less bureaucratic procedures.

The Authority had organised two Information Sessions about the new Development Planning (Use Classes) Order 2014 for the general public, periti and all interested stakeholders accordingly:

The next one is in Malta on:

Wednesday 29th January – Periti and General Public – Time:15.30hrs Venue: MEPA Boardroom, Floriana
