The ‘Familja Qalb tad-Deheb’ award, which is run by the Gozo Diocese Family Commission is presented to a Gozitan family that has shown faith, courage and steadfastness in the face of adversity throughout the past year.

This year, which is the 43rd edition of the ceremony, it will take place on Saturday, the 15th of February at the at the Pope John Paul II Institute for the Family, in Victoria and will be patronised by H.E. Dr George Abela, President of Malta. Distinguished guests will include H.L. Msgr. Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo and Dr Anton Refalo, the Minister for Gozo

The function, will reach its climax with the announcement of the award by the Chairman of the adjudicating board and a family will be officially proclaimed as the recipient of the 2014 Edition of Il-Familja Qalb tad-Deheb award.

The evening will include also some musical interludes by the Gozo choir, Chorus Urbanus.
