As part of the events organised to commemorate International Nurses day, Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Chris Fearne, paid a visit to Karen Grech Rehabilitation Hospital, where he thanked all nurses for their commitment towards the well being of the patients.
Mr Fearne reiterated the commitment of this Government towards strengthening the workforce within the public health care system stating that “the key to being successful in this field is a trained workforce equipped with the right tools and good management practices.”
Whilst acknowledging the need of agreements to bridge the current problems affecting patients, Mr Fearne emphasised the commitment undertaken by the current Government “to keep on providing a free health care service that is among the best in Europe.”
