The Malta Airport – ALIVE2014 Cycling Challenge for Cancer Team has been training in Malta for several months – the Gozo rider, Louis Debattista, finally managed to join them last Sunday!

Louis said that some members of the team covered 150km, like the one who was in front of him, and some did 100km or more.

“The Alive Team is growing strong,” Louis added, “we are all ready to do this 1000km cycling challenge ride, but it’s not going to be easy. We are going to spend about 50-60 hours on the bicycle saddle over the 7 days. Awwch… my legs, my mind and mostly my bottom!”

“Life is full of surprises, good and bad surprises, so lets go and face it all. And for all the people who are suffering from any health problems especially cancer, we are thinking about all of you and we do care and we are trying,” Louis said.

Louis thanked everyone who has helped by giving donations. “For the ones who are still thinking about it, I am accepting donations until the 4th of July, so please help. Cheques can be made out to Alive Charity Foundation, with “Louis Debattista” in the memo line and mailed to Louis Debattista, at “The Dusty House,” Triq ta’ Cini, Qala QLA-2020..

Please include a return address so a receipt can be sent. “Please help the only Gozo Rider in this year’s challenge to collect more money to help those struggling with breast cancer.”
