GTA welcomes Paul Bugeja’s appointment as CEO of Malta Tourism Authority

The Gozo Tourism Association said that it welcomes the appointment of Mr Paul Bugeja as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Malta Tourism Authority.

The Malta Tourism Authority Board announced the appointment of Mr Paul Bugeja as Chief Executive Officer of MTA with effect from the 16th of September 2014. He will be succeeding outgoing CEO, Mr Josef Formosa Gauci.

In a statement this afternoon the Gozo Tourism Association also acknowledges the fact, that the new MTA CEO is a professional, having considerable experience within the tourism sector.

The Association added that it is confident that Mr. Bugeja will ensure a close working relationship with the key stakeholders of the tourism industry.

On its part, the Gozo Tourism Association, as a regional representative body of the tourism sector on Gozo, said that it is committed to continue collaborating, contributing and working with the new MTA CEO, for the benefit of the tourism industry on the Maltese Islands.

Furthermore, the Gozo Tourism Association said it, “appreciates the expediency through which this important position was filled, in order that the Malta Tourism Authority might continue to reap the positive results attained during these last years.”

The Gozo Tourism Association thanked the outgoing MTA CEO Mr. Josef Formosa Gauci, “who together with the MTA management team played an important role in the touristic successes achieved during his tenure.”
