On Christmas Eve a group of seven youngsters from the Gozo Greyhounds Sports Club, aged between 7 and 12, cycled 21km from Qala to Ghansielem, Xewkija, Sannat and then to Victoria.

The group, who were led by Louis Debattista, stopped at the Sannat playground for half an hour to enjoy a few games and relaxation.

From there they went to the Exhibition Hall at the Gozo Ministry in Victoria, to see the “Presepji” made by kids from different Gozo College Schools. Louis said they were very impressed by the standard of the cribs on display. “One of our members had 2 presepji on display. We have great talent here in Gozo!”

The group then then had lunch in a restaurant before cycling back to Qala. “Everyone enjoyed the time out, with exercise and fresh air,” Louis said.
