The Directorate for EcoGozo Regional Development has provided €2500 for the procurement of sports equipment. This equipment will be used by both the Primary and Secondary school students of Gozo College.

“This new equipment will help PE teachers carry out their syllabi and consequently provide a qualitative educational experience.” the Directorate said.

“Moreover” it said, “the procurement of this equipment will help in promoting a healthier lifestyle through sports and physical activity.”

A demonstration of the skills gained by the students in the last few months, through the use of this new equipment, was demonstrated during the Annual Gymnastics Festival held at the Gozo Sports Complex.

This festival was organised by the Gozo College P.E. teachers and Activity teachers, with the assistance of the Kunsill Malti tal-iSports under the direction of Mark Buttiegieg, Head of the P.E. Department

Mr Victor Galea the Gozo College Principal, Dr Chris Zammit, Head of the Minister’s Secretariat at the Gozo Ministry, and Ms Sylvana Sultana, from the Gozo ministry’s EcoGozo section. were present for the occasion.
