Fr Joseph Libreri OFM.Cap blessed the statues of Christ the Saviour and St Francis of Assisi, which are to be found in Capuchin Street in Victoria, in the vicinity of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces.

These statues were recently restored to their former glory by the organisation Wirt Ghawdex.

Later, Fr Libreri led a Concelebrated Mass assisted by Fr Remigio Galea and Fr Joseph Muscat, to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of the coronation of the effigies of Our Lady of Graces and Jesus on the titular painting by Stefano Erardi.

To mark this occasion, the External Festivities Committee held a lunch at the Downtown Hotel in Victoria.
