St Lawrence Spurs’ William Barbosa is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for January 2015, while Antoine Camilleri (Victoria Hotspurs) is the winner for February 2015.

William Barbosa joined St Lawrence Spurs at the beginning of the season where he started playing in defencive positions. However he made his biggest impressions when he moved forward on the field and helped his team climb away from the relegation zone. Barbosa scored three times in the Spurs two outings during January, with a goal in their 3-0 victory over Sannat Lions and two goals in their 3-1 win over Victoria Wanderers.

Victoria Hotspurs forward Antoine Camilleri topped the polls for the BOV GFA Player of the Month award for February. The young striker scored a most important goal in Victoria’s 1-1 draw against league leaders Xewkija Tigers and was impressive in their 2-0 win over Sannat. These points ascertained them of the third position at the end of the second round in the Melita First Division League.

Horace Laudi, Regional Manager for Gozo at Bank of Valletta presented the BOV GFA Player of the Month trophies to Barbosa and Camilleri. Both players chose the Fondazzjoni Arka to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
