A 46-year-old man from Munxar, Gozo, was arraigned in the Gozo Court today, accused of driving in a negligent and dangerous manner while under the influence of alcohol.

He was also accused of assaulting and threatening three Police officers, among other charges.

The 46-year-old, who appeared before Magistrate Dr. Joanne Vella Cuschieri, pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him and was granted bail under a deposit of €500 and a personal guarantee of €10,000.

He failed to deposit the €500 and was therefore remanded into custody.
