The Friends of the Sick & Elderly Gozo Charity Fair next Sunday in VictoriaUpdate: A charity fair is taking place next Sunday, the 29th of March, in Victoria, organised by the Friends of the Sick and Elderly Gozo.

The Fair will be held at the football ground, adjacent to the main parking area in Victoria, on Sunday, between 7.30am and 12.30pm.

Please do not forget that the clocks also go forward by one hour on the same day as summer time begins!

Everyone is invited to take along any unwanted items, bric-a-brac etc and turn them into cash. A donation of €10 from sellers is requested, FSEG has advised that there is no need to book, sellers can just turn up on the day.

The Friends of the Sick and Elderly said that the following guidelines must be followed:

These Fairs help recycling between people of unwanted items which they own while helping the philanthropic work of the FSEG;

At the end of each event participants should remove their own rubbish and not leave anything behind.

No Commercial traders are allowed to participate;

No lorries, trucks or commercial vans are allowed in the area.

      How on earth can one make a booking?! I have visited the FSEG website, and the email section is not properly coded, so it’s impossible to contact them. I have tried calling them too, but they do not pick up. Does anyone have a valid email address for FSEG? If not, I will have to wait for the carboot in Marsalforn.

      Have to agree and it is so typical out here. Good internet services but websites are not maintained or updated with information, including officlal sites.

      I received a SMS update the other night from the FSEG. They tried calling me at 9:52pm. Yes, 9:52pm! I did not answer at that hour of course.

      Anyway, you can all ignore point 2). I have been advised that there is absolutely no need to pre-book the space. You just turn up, and someone will collect the €10 participation fee.

      This thing is so badly managed it’s untrue. I will probably wait a few weeks and go to the Marsalforn carboot in aid of Arka instead.

      I am sure that FSEG, like many other voluntary organisations, would welcome help in maintaining the IT side of their operation.

      I am sure that when they ask, many will step forward.
