In reaction to PM Joseph Muscat’s statement that part of the AUM private campus will be built on Zonqor ODZ land, Front Harsien ODZ said, “the Prime Minister is being absolutist and stubborn in ignoring civil society’s opposition to development at Zonqor,”

It added, “this is even more worrying when he chose to make this declaration when Parliament is in summer recess and without publishing the agreement with developers Sadeen Group..

Front Harsien ODZ said that it asks the Prime Minister “to declare whether any electoral obligations exist with Sadeen Group.”

“Our resistance to development at Zonqor will keep growing, and civil society’s voice will be raised at a level which cannot be ignored by a democratic government.” concluded Front Harsien ODZ.
