Funkoustic in Xlendi Bay, Gozo, will be, the organisers said, “a live music celebration by local artists inspired by the beauty of life and love for the island.” A gathering of unique talents on an open-air stage, with the picturesque backdrop of Xlendi Bay.
“Chasing Pandora are indisputably one of Gozo and Malta’s most influential and dynamic bands, even during hiatus, the band’s music is played regularly on Malta’s leading radio stations. They continue to reach an audience with their folk, pop and rock melodies with a vocal force that has been recognised far and wide. This is a rare chance to experience the duo live once again.”
The event organisers said that This.Co are the new generation and they love to perform, fresh and funky with an ear for quality music that is very rare in new bands. “The band has developed their unique sound on large stages such as Earth Garden and smaller, more intimate stages with just the same authenticity and energy. The time to see them play live is on their home grounds and we are proud to be part of this exciting time for This.Co.”
Hannah brown has a voice that is sure to captivate everyone with her originality and honest approach to the material she plays. The 15-year-old singer songwriter who performs on guitar and piano recently performed at Earth Garden and as a special guest at the Winter Moods 30th Anniversary concert.
Ryan Joseph is a guitar player and singer-songwriter from Xaghra, Gozo. Ryan has a long history with New York, he plays original songs with a range and dynamic that reflects the variety between the two worlds he experiences. A touch of R&B with a whole lot of soul can only begin to describe this young man’s sound!
The Funkoustic event is a completely free event. All are welcome to the open air stage, so take the time to visit Xlendi Bay on Saturday, the 29th of August, the gig starts at 7.30pm until 11.30pm.
