The Xewkija Local Council, through Mayor Mr. Paul Azzopardi and Executive Secretary Ms. Sue-Ellen Bugeja, together with Malta’s Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of Malta to UNESCO Dr Ray Bondin, recently visited Ragusa in Sicily where they met the Mayor Sign. Federico Piccitto at Palazzo dell’Aquila for a courtesy meeting.

During the visit the Xewkija Local Council completed an application under the European Commission’s ‘Europe for Citizens Programme,’ for Xewkija to twin with the town of Ragusa.
