On Monday, Mgr. Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo and Chairman of the Maltese Episcopal Conference, addressed a news conference at the airport upon his arrival Rome, where he been attending the Synod of Bishops.

The 14th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which began on the 4th of October 2015, ended yesterday with a Solemn Mass led by Pope Francis, in the Basilica of St. Peter, Vatican City.

The theme of this Synod was “The vocation and mission of the family in the Church and the world today.”
