The Emergency Response Rescue Corp of Gozo recently organised a training course for members of the EOD from the Armed Forces of Malta
A group of 9 personnel from the EOD were awarded a certificate of open water scuba diving instructor.
The 3-week course was run under the guidance of instructor trainers Dr Matthew Montabello and Etienne Micallef of the ERRC and International Scuba Diving Academy (ISDA).
The course covered pedagogical, technical skills, emergency procedures, first aid and rescue, academic teaching and practical sessions. This was followed by a 3 day exam done by ISDA examiner Mr Mario Perricone.
