A new and exciting event will be taking place in San Lawrenz next week – Swejjaq f' San Lawrenz, Performance Art, organised by the Local Council
The San Lawrenz Local Council said that the idea of `Swejjaq' is a new idea for the island … Swejjaq is the Maltese word meaning a small market, the intention is to transform the main village square into a small Sunday morning market.
This will be market which sell crops, food and other artisan hand made products. In addition there will be games for children, dance and folk music, a cultural tour of interesting artefacts in the Church and other venues.
Swejjaq f' San Lawrenz, Performance Art – is taking place on Sunday, the 12th of June, between 8.00am and 1.00pm, it is hoped that this will be the first of many to come in the future.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for the whole family and the Council is encouraging everyone to go along and enjoy something different!
