Readers Letter – "As a representative of the Gozo Greyhounds Sports Club and Gozo Rocks Clean & Green, I would like to see waste collection bins like this across the island.
This is to all the Local Councils in Gozo and Malta. To Parliamentary Secretary for Local Governments, Dr Stefan Buontempo, please we need waste collection bins like these in the parks, playgrounds, soccer field, beaches , shopping areas, Hospitals, churches and schools.
It will also help to teach everyone how to dispose of litter correctly. Please lets make a difference in our island. I care what I see but I need your help to make it happen. Thank you."

as long the collection will be regularly
Yes they would be good however the current recycle bins in many villages are very good and still people think it is ok to dump all their rubbish by the side of them instead of taking the time to sort it. Also fly tipping has caused a few villages to lose their recycle bins totally. This is not necessary as there is a very good civic amenity site that accepts any goods, people are just too lazy to use it.
I think it will be a good idea if Gozo Hospital can provide transport to deliver oxygen containers to people that are sick in there homes, as for myself I had to leave my sick husband alone so I could go and get the refills.
i believe oxygen containers can be delivered anywhere on the island but not for FREE> or perhaps get the service of a courier.,if however your husband is really bad that cannot be left alone,maybe a home visit by specialised nurses.
Thank you for your replay I am 70 yrs old and I got to go to get refills from Gozo hospital for.my husband as they told me they don’t deliver there is no service for this
Is there such a thing in gozo malta called compulsory purchase in the uk if houses stay empty for 5 years the council got the right to buy them from the owner and they do them up and put homeless people in their or those in need I don’t know if they do this here it will be a good idea though even for the disabled or pensioners for a small monthly charge what do you think
