An activity for all Gozitan Year 1 and Year 2 primary school pupils took place at the upgraded Marsalforn Valley nature trail.
The Activity Teacher Unit of the Gozo College organised this interesting outing for the children, with the collaboration of Eco-Gozo.
Gozo College said that while fully embracing the Eco-Gozo vision, this school outing addressed multiple learning outcomes across subjects so as to maximise learning time outside the classroom.
"It also served as a much-needed physical exercise and integrated various academic subjects. Pupils explored the upgraded surroundings and appreciated the different landscapes that our unique island has to offer."
Pupils had the opportunity for some hands-on experience in the conservation of the local environment and its protection, including water conservation, soil conservation, protection of endemic trees and plants, and the importance of rubble walls and the traditional windmills.
