Seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 3.1 per cent in September over the previous month. When compared to September 2015, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went up by 0.4 per cent.

Data from the National Statistics Office today show that increases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (7.3 per cent) and energy (1.6 per cent). On the other hand, the production of consumer goods and capital goods went down by 1.3 and 0.8 per cent respectively.

When compared to the corresponding month of 2015, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went up by 0.4 per cent. Increases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (11.0 per cent). On the other hand, the production of consumer goods, energy and capital goods went down by 7.4, 1.7 and 0.1 per cent.
