Sibt l-Istrina Gozo took place at the Grand Hotel on Saturday evening, when Gozitans were able to enjoy a 6-hour variety programme fundraising event by local talent – in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund..

The final figure raised is still to be announced, but at the close of the evening the figure reached was €60,103.58. The programme was broadcast live on TVM for everyone to enjoy.

President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca and her husband Mr Edgar Preca, attended the evening’s programme of entertainment which was provided by singers, dancers and local choirs, to name but a few.

The Board of Administrators of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation gave thanks to: GO, PBS, CVC, MITA, PowerSound, Grand Hotel Mgarr, Source Light, Audio System, Flowers & Co, Flowers by George, Orienta, The Christmas Store, Hotel Calypso, Quaint Hotel, Gozo Express, The Floral Designer, David Grech, Claire Agius, Clare Agius Ordway, Stephanie Spiteri and all the technical teams who were on site at the Grand Hotel in Gozo working voluntarily. “Most of all, we thank all the people of Gozo for their generosity!”

Today the President will visit various locations as below to sign copies of the book Cooking from the Heart 2016:
