Gharb is celebrating the feast of the Visitation of Our Lady to St. Elizabeth today. This morning the St Margaret Band played traditional marches around the streets of the village.

This evening at 7pm, the Cathedral Archpriest will lead the procession of the Visitation accompanied by the local Vizitazzjoni brass band, which will pass over the Infiorata – Carpet of flowers, that was laid this afternoon on the church parvis.

The Infiorata consists of a carpet made of fresh flowers petals and leaves cut in small pieces and arranged together to form various thematic designs.
