A 41-year-old motorcyclist from Sannat was grievously injured in a traffic accident this morning, in Triq Tal-Gruwa, Xewkija.

Police said that the accident happened at about 7am, when the man, who was riding his Honda CRF 250L motorbike, collided with a Mitsubishi L200 driven by a 20-year Xewkija man.

The motorcyclist was taken to Gozo General Hospital, where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
