Changes in industrial relations favoured by ZminijietnaZminijietna has appealed to the Government to implement the proposal made by the GWU, “to have all workers form part of a trade union of their choice. The fight against precariousness and low wages could be addressed with collective bargaining.”

In a statement, the Left think tank organisation said, “progressive organisations in Europe are also campaigning in this regard. Various studies show that unionised workers benefit from better wages, decent conditions of employment, and more industrial democratisation.”

It added that, “political discourse against foreign workers will lead more to social inequality and social conflicts.”

Zminijietna concluded, “a healthy society needs progressive measures that address the changes going on in the economic, cultural and social sphere.”
