This afternoon Prime Minister Joseph Muscat welcomed 18-year old Michela Grech from Victoria, who won the first edition of X-Factor Malta. Michela was accompanied to the meeting at the Castille by her parents
Michela now goes on to represent Malta in May at the Eurovision Song Contest, which is being held in Tel Aviv.
The Minister for Justice, Culture and Local Government Owen Bonnici was also present at the meeting.

Gozitans are proud with one of their daughters who managed to achieve an astonishing performance to become the winner of the first X Factor Show in Malta. All four contestants performed admirably and therefore it was a pity that as usual only one had to be declared “The Winner”.
Michela Grech did wonderful for herself and also gave pride and happiness to all Gozitans.
