More than € 70,000 has been presented to 16 voluntary organisations by Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana.
The NGOs had successfully applied for aid under the Ministry for Gozo Non Governmental Organisations Assistance Scheme, as well as the Promotion of Sports, Initiatives and Facilities Scheme.
Dr Caruana explained that the first scheme was introduced in July 2017, and since then the number of applications has continuously grown.
“This is a transparent and regularised scheme, intended to assist voluntary organisations to implement projects, events and initiatives in Gozo,” she added.
The Ministry for Gozo Non Governmental Organisations Assistance Scheme, as well as the Promotion of Sports, Initiatives and Facilities Scheme will reopen as from today – Thursday, the Minister said.
The Gozo Minister congratulated the successful NGOs, and invited other interested organisations to submit their applications to the new call.
