The Ministry for Gozo has launched a Gozo Weekend of Fun, with a fruit festival at the Villa Rundle Gardens – Tutti Frutti on Saturday, the 18th of January and the traditional blessing of animals for the Feast of Saint Anthony in Xaghra on Sunday the 19th.
Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana said that this newly created activity will promote local tradition and is the first in the programme of events planned for the year. They will also help to promote Gozo as a destination to visit in January, which is normally a quiet month.
Tutti Frutti will take place between 10am and 5pm in the Villa Rundle on Saturday, the 18th of January, while activities for the Feast of Saint Anthony will take place in St Anthony Abbot Square, Xaghra, between 9am and 5pm.
Entrance to all activities is free of charge.
