Clint Camilleri has been appointed as Minister for Gozo by Prime Minister Robert Abela, following the resignation of Justyne Caruana earlier today.
In a statement, the OPM said that the Prime Minister has also appointed Anton Refalo as Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights.
Anton Refalo will be sworn is as Minister tomorrow afternoon.

Very sad day for Gozo. Justyne Caruana was the best Minister that Gozo ever had and worked tirelessly for the good of the island. You will notice a big difference from now on!
Totally agreed. What we DON’T want is a hunter as Minister for Gozo. Bad decision.
Gozo was being excellently served by the Hon Dr Justyne Caruana. In my humble view she was one of the most honest – capable & hard working Minister. Gozo benefited hugely under her direction.
Pity Gozo had to lose her due no fault of her own.
I and so many others do thank her for her continous hard work to better Gozo and its citizens way of life.
The Hon Clint Camilleri, whilst congratulating him for his new position, will have to work really hard to emulate the successes that his predecessor has achieved. So I wish him all the best in his new Ministry.
I’ve been watching Clint for years and the one thing he has never did is work hard. He prefers to leave the hard work to others and then comes in at the last minute to claim all the glory. Gozo is going to miss Justyne.
