The 2020 Award Play writing competition is open to all school students of all ages at any school in Gozo and Gozo Live/Gozo College said that entries are already coming in.

They explained that the Award Competition is supported by the English Department and all entries must be in English.

There are two themes on which students can write: What can I do to make the world a better place? – What what an animal has taught me. Entries can be essays, poems, stories or plays

Students are also being invited to write either a fantasy story or a poem, there is a special prize for these entries although the majority of the prizes will go for entries on the themes above. Poems or Fantasy stories do not have to be on the themes.

“Students will be judged on their creativity and originality “so they are encouraged to think deeply and to take an approach that is not the usual.,” the organisers said.

Generous prizes will be awarded. The closing date is the 22nd of April 2020, so please get your entries sent in.

Entries can be emailed to gozolive2018@gmail.com or posted to Gozo Live 21A Gnien Xibla, Xaghra, Gozo.

A copy of the full rules can be obtained by emailing as above.
