The Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri has visited works on Triq it-Tamar, as well as a section of Triq il-Fanal in Ghasri, which are being carried out and funded by the Ministry for Gozo at a cost of € 170,000.

Minister Camilleri said Triq it-Tamar is one of a number of roads that the Ministry is arranging for the benefit of local citizens and those who visit the island, so that they can enjoy an adequate and safe road infrastructure.

The Mayor of Ghasri, Daniel Attard, thanked the Minister for the work and the fact that priority is given to all roads in Gozo, even in the small village of Ghasri.

The Ministry has also financed work carried out on Trejqet Dun Guzepp Cassar, Trejqet San Pupulju and Triq id-Dehra, all in Ghasri, the Minister said, as well as Triq Wied il-Ghasri and Triq il-Gonna, where were financed by the Ministry for Gozo through Measure 4.3.

The Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri concluded by saying that these road works are being undertaken to show that the government is giving Gozo the commitment it deserves, with the ultimate aim that the road structure is as high a level in Gozo as it is in Malta.
