Large crowds of people have gathered again at the Labour Party headquarters in Hamrun to submit applications demanding a VAT refund on the vehicle registration tax they have paid.
PL say that around 14,000 people have already entered a claim for a refund since the campaign began just over a week ago.
The refund campaign which both the PL and Alternattiva Demokratika have initiated, started after the EU Commissioner Laszlo Kovacs said that VAT should not have been charged on registration tax for vehicles bought after Malta joined the EU in 2004.
