The Ministry for Gozo Ministry in a statement, have condemned the attack on the company’s Chief Officer who was beaten up by a group of men after he had ordered them to wear masks when they were boarding the Malita ferry.

The attack happened late on Saturday Chief Officer was taken to hospital for treatment and the statement said that he “doing well.”

The Ministry for Gozo said that such behaviour was unacceptable and expressed solidarity with the workers involved.

Wearing of masks on public transport, including the ferries is obligatory.
