The Medical Association of Malta in a statement, said that it notes that the Prime Minister “may be having a change of heart, and is considering measures needed to bring down numbers.

“However he still seems to be more preoccupied with the tourist lobby than the health of the nation, even with tourist traffic reduced to the minimum,” the MAM said.

MAM said that it reserves its position till the Government measures are announced later on today.

The Association also highlighted the position of the German Health Minister after Spain and the Balearic Islands were put on the red list, who said that “Party holidays are irresponsible in this pandemic.”
