An 84-year old man has died while being positive with Covid-19, he passed away last night at Mater Dei Hospital and becomes the 25th person to die with the virus.

The Ministry for Health in a statement on Wednesday, said that the man tested positive for Covid-19 on the 18th of September and was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on the same day, where he continued to be treated until he passed away late last night.

The Ministry said that the man “was in poor health.”

The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the patient’s family, reiterated its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
