A 70-year old man has died while being positive with Covid-19, he is the 39th person to die with the virus.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry for Health said that the man tested positive for Covid-19 on the 29th of September and was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on the same day, where he died earlier today.

The Ministry said that the man “had further health conditions.”

The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the patient’s family, reiterated its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
