A 75-year old man has died from Covid-19, the Health Ministry has said. He becomes the 70th victim of the virus.
The Ministry in a statement on Thursday morning, said the man was admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday and was confirmed positive for Covid-19 yesterday. He passed away last night.
The Ministry said that he “was suffering from another chronic illness.”
The Health Ministry, while offering its condolences to the patient’s family, once again reiterated its appeal for the public to continue to follow the public health guidelines, including frequent hand washing, social distancing and wearing a mask.
