Quad bikes are a serious safety hazard – many quad bike accidents have caused death. Children under the age of 16 should not drive or be a passenger on quad bikes. Rollovers can be deadly. The risk of rollover increases when travelling at high speeds, carrying a load or travelling through unfamiliar or rough terrain. AND THEY ARE HIRED / RENTED TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT MASTERED DRIVING THEM.
Yes absolutely we all know from experience that these type of bikes are deadly anyone with a death wish will be on the right tracks I heard quite a few countries have band them outright. WHY NOT MALTA? would you let your 16 year old son or daughter ride on one of these, know damn well they are dangerous>>:-
It is the drivers who are not safe, quad bikes are perfectly OK if ridden properly!
Of course banning the hire of quads would mean less tourist €’s.
